We are recruiting a Ph.D. student starting Fall 2027 to work on AI and machine learning for engineering design. Ideal candidates will have strong foundations in mathematics and programming. Applicants with experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:
- Interpretable machine learning
- Uncertainty quantification
- Deep generative models
- LLMs and other foundation models
- Inverse design, generative design, or related computational design topics
